For the past 15 years, Miller & Associates has been writing grant applications for municipalities and non-profit organizations to obtain Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation and Down Payment Assistance funds. In 2004, the firm wrote three housing rehabilitation grant applications and received $796,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds (NAHTF). The firm currently administers funds for those three projects as well as others throughout Central and Northeast Nebraska.

  • Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Programs assist persons of low-moderate income to remove structural code violations, repair and/or replace structural components near failure, provide for modifications for the elderly or disabled and provide cost-effective energy conservation improvements.
  • Down Payment Assistance grants assist low-moderate income individuals in purchasing a home.

Please contact Jacque S. Haupt or Candy K. Kuntz if you are interested in pursuing an Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation or Down Payment Assistance grant for your community or organization. First round grant applications are due in the Spring.
