Economic Development

Miller & Associates considers economic development planning as the catalyst of
community vitality, economic well-being, and healthy business climate for any
community. We have a proven track record of assisting communities with economic
development. An example of this is when we assisted the City of Kearney, Buffalo
County, Buffalo County Economic Development and The Buckle Corporation in
construction of a distribution facility. The facility constructed is over 200,000 square
feet and it created 50 full-time jobs. This construction project also included water
main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and paving expansions and/or improvements.
We assisted in collaboration with all of the previously mentioned organizations to
receive approximately $2.6 million in funding from the Economic Development
Administration (EDA), Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED), and
City/County Re-use Funds. We also assisted the City of Kearney and the Buffalo
County Economic Development Council with acquiring a prime location and with
site development for the Data Center/Technology Park that is northeast of Kearney.
Our staff, at Miller & Associates, has also assisted many other communities and
organizations with economic development. Other communities include Gothenburg,
Lexington, Ravenna, Cambridge, Scribner, Imperial, West Central Development
District, Northeast Economic District, and South Central Economic District, Central
Economic District, Southeast Economic District, and Dawson Area Development.
At Miller & Associates, our staff provides a unique brand of leadership to these
communities and we assist them in formulating a creative, dynamic, realistic vision,
and a workable plan of action for economic development, growth, and vitality. Our
full-service firm is a great tool for streamlining the process of development and
growth in communities.
