Water Storage Facilities
Miller & Associates’ team of engineers and technicians has designed and inspected construction and paint restoration of over 40 water storage facilities in Nebraska. Water storage facilities generally help to equalize water demand, assist in reducing pressure fluctuations in distribution systems, as well as provide reserves for fire fighting efforts, power outages and other emergencies. Water storage facilities can be in the form of ground or elevated storage, or can be a pressurized tank.
Miller & Associates has designed new water storage facilities as well as inspected existing facilities. Newly designed facilities range from single pedestal to four-legged towers with capacities of 50,000 gallons to 2 million gallons depending on the need of the community. Inspections of existing facilities include regular maintenance of the facility such as cleaning, painting and repair to the structure to maintain serviceability.
